Navratre or Durga Puja 2021
Navratri Festival is celebrated twice in a year with great devotion and fervor in all over India. First time it is celebrated as Chaitra Navratri or Vasant Navratri in the month of March-April and second time as Sharad Navratri in the months of September-October. During Chaitra Navratri ninth day is celebrated as Ram Navami while after Sharad Navratri tenth day is celebrated as Dussehra or Vijayadashami, the victory of good over evil. One of the Navratri lies in the Hindu month of Magh, which is also known by the name “Magha Gupta navratri”.
In the four Navratri of the year, Chaitra and Sharad Navratri is the most famous but still Sharad Navratri has special significance that's why it is also known as Maha Navratri. The devotees celebrate Sharad navratri in all over India with huge devotion and great zeal.

Sharad Navratri Dates: October 7, 2021 (Thursday) to October 15, 2021 (Friday)
On both the auspicious occasion during Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri, nine forms of Goddess Maa Durga - Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Maha Gauri and Siddhidatri are worshipped by the devotees. This year, Sharad Navratri festival will begin from 7th October 2021 (Thursday) and will be celebrated till 15th October 2021 (Friday).
2021 Navratri Ghatasthapana in India:
For Navratri festival, Ghatasthapana is the most important ritual, which marks the beginning of the navratri. Navratri Ghatasthapana is observed during both navratris either it is Chaitra Navratri or Sharad Navratri. Ghatasthapana ritual is observed with pure heart & mind, in which devotees invoke the Goddess Aadi Shakti. Ghatasthapana must be done at the right muhurat, doing it at the wrong time will make the Goddess angry and will be harmful. The most auspicious time for Ghatasthapana is on Pratipada day (most sacred time during all day) or during the Abhijit muhurat. According to Hindu lunar calendar, Chaitra is the first month and the first day of this month is celebrated as the Hindu New Year. Chaitra Navratri is the end of the winter season and begining of the summer in India. Chaitra Navaratri is also known as Vasant Navratri. Ninth day of Chaitra Navratri is celebrated as Rama Navami in India. Sharad Navratri also known as Maha Navratri begins in the month of September-October i.e. in the month of Ashwin according to Hindu Lunar Calendar. Navratri is celebrated more popularly with great pomp and devotion in the northern part of India.
