Day 1 muhurat, puja vidhi, history and significance of Maa Shailputri

 

First navratra marks the beginning of Chaitra Navratri. Chaitra Navratri (nine nights) is particularly celebrated to worship goddess Durga and her nine forms through the nine days. It is to seek her blessings for protection from evil and seek happiness.

Day 1 of Chaitra Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Shailputri. Goddess Shailputri is the daughter of Himalaya born in the house of the king of mountains. The pictorial depiction of Maa Shailputri shows her having two hands, holding the Trishul or the trident in the right hand, a pink lotus in the left, and a crescent adorns her forehead. She is seen riding on Nandi bull, she is the wife of Lord Shiva and has two kids, Ganesha and Kartikeya.

The colour red is associated with the Goddess and it is considered auspicious to wear the red attire as it symbolises passion, auspiciousness as well as anger.

Navratri Festival is celebrated twice in a year with great devotion and fervor in all over India. First time it is celebrated as Chaitra Navratri or Vasant Navratri in the month of March-April and second time as Sharad Navratri in the months of September-October. During Chaitra Navratri ninth day is celebrated as Ram Navami while after Sharad Navratri tenth day is celebrated as Dussehra or Vijayadashami, the victory of good over evil. One of the Navratri lies in the Hindu month of Magh, which is also known by the name “Magha Gupta navratri”.

it is the day when moon complete itself and show as full moon and completely beautiful and gives cool light in the night. when we were children we call it mama ji and see its beauty but now we realised that full moon is god grace and it is our one of beautiful festival. in this day we do pooja of Satyanarayana baghwan with laxmi maa and serve prasad to everyone. it is wonderful festival because the pooja of Satyanarayana ji fulfill all wishes of person and give them lots of health wealth and prosperity. it is one of good festival of hindu dharma.

Maa is called by name Laxmi maa and she is god of wealth health and property. she removes all wealth problems of all persons and i pray she remove all world pain and give all health wealth and prosperity. Maa is very sweet and beautiful from heart and her pooja gave us all things happiness ( i mean inner happiness) she is maa and if we take regular her name from heart with purity she gave us everything. she is wife of god narayan and lives in our heart.her chalisa is very good and we should remember her every day. i am giving below her chalisa. you can rememebr you can chant this regularly and get wealth from maa. jai laxmi maa
